Cross-country skiing
A winter sport that enchants young and old - discover the fascination of this Nordic sport as you glide gently through the picturesque winter landscape.
A network packed with variety of classic and skating trails of varying lengths and difficulties awaits you across the entire Ötz Valley, covering around 143 kilometres. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy two rewarding cross-country trails in Sölden.
Snowshoe hiking
Unique mountain experiences await you during your winter holiday in the Ötz Valley when the wide meadows and mountain slopes are covered in glistening snow crystals and snow-draped trees stretch up into the deep blue sky. Trudge through the unadulterated winter landscape on snowshoes, discover unique places of power and enjoy the tranquillity of the forest. The nature that surrounds our hotel in Sölden is perfect for a dreamlike snowshoe hike.
Tobogganing
No matter whether you're looking for a leisurely or fast-paced ride - the family-friendly toboggan run starting from the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn lift is sure to delight toboggan fans. Cool hairpin bends, fast straights and the easy route not only ensure that the 7.3 km long toboggan run is a winter adventure filled with fun, it's also one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria. And once the sun has started to set behind the mountains, the tobogganing fun continues once a week during the tobogganing evening.
Ice skating
The ice rink, where you can spin pirouettes and skate long lanes surrounded by the majestic mountain giants of the Ötztal Alps, is just a 10-minute walk from the Parkhotel in Sölden. Children can practise their first steps on the ice with animal ice skating aids, while grown-ups can glide across the glistening ice or spend sociable hours playing ice hockey and ice-stick shooting. The atmospheric lighting creates a very special atmosphere in the evening.
Freizeit Arena Sölden
The Freizeit Arena Sölden also ensures wonderful recreation in addition to our cosy health spa area. Enjoy bathing fun for the whole family in the adventure pool with rock grotto, whirlpool loungers, slide and children's pool, relax in the sauna complex with Finnish sauna cabin from Kelo, steam and inhalation bath, infrared cabin, sanarium, tepidarium and solarium or burn off some energy in the sports hall and fitness studio.
